ACCREDITATION
OncoLogics Treatment Centers are the
only ACRO accredited facilities in the state of Louisiana.
OncoLogics received accreditation
from the American College of Radiation Oncology (ACRO). ACRO
standards are specific for the practice of radiation oncology,
which includes facilities, physician practice and patient
services offered at OncoLogics treatment centers. During the
accreditation process, the American College of Radiation Oncology
evaluates OncoLogics procedures, practices and policies with
respect to staffing, equipment, treatment protocols and techniques,
professional development, quality assurance, performance improvement
and many other aspects of the cancer care offered at OncoLogics.
OncoLogics is proud to have been honored with
such distinction.
OncoLogics received its initial accreditation
status in September 1995 by the Joint Commission on Accreditation
of Healthcare Organization and was awarded "Accreditation
with Commendation" for each of its facilities. JCAHO
awards less than 10% of all surveyed healthcare facilities
the status of "Accreditation with Commendation."
JCAHO awards less than
10% of all surveyed healthcare facilities the status of "Accreditation
with Commendation."
These commendations accurately reflect the
dedication and commitment to excellence in cancer care offered
at OncoLogics' centers located in southwest Louisiana
and south central Mississippi. OncoLogics continues to practice
the high standards set by the JCAHO and ACRO.
