ALANA HARGRAVE ENLISTED AS SUPPORT SERVICES COORDINATOR

Lafayette, LA –OncoLogics, Incorporated, has added the services of Alana Hargrave, L.C.S.W, as Support Services Coordinator.  Ms. Hargrave will assist all new and existing patients of OncoLogic’s Louisiana clinics.  

Ms. Hargrave earned a Bachelor of Sciences in Child Family Studies from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and a Masters of Social Work from Louisiana State University.  She is a licensed Clinical Social Worker and will oversee all survivorship plans, patient counseling, assist with patient transportation and act as a liaison between OncoLogics and Miles Perret Center, the American Cancer Society and other organizations who assist cancer patients during and after their treatments.  In cooperation with the American Cancer Society, Alana and OncoLogics will be offering the “I Can Cope Program” at OncoLogics’ Centre Women beginning in September.  Alana also organizes monthly educational groups on various topics with a variety of healthcare prossionals and guest spearkers.    

Ms. Hargrave is a long-term member of the OncoLogics staff, having worked at OncoLogics during high school and college prior to enrolling at LSU to complete her graduate level studies.  Her training, experience and knowledge are tremendous assets as she assists OncoLogics’ patients and their families with questions pertaining to prevention, treatment, resources, and insurance as they relate to cancer care, treatment, and wellness.  Some of the programs and assistance provided include:

  1. Cancer Survivorship Plans
  2. Cancer Care Treatment Awareness Programs
  3. Government and Private sector financial resource assistance
  4. Cancer Prevention information
  5. Cancer Treatment therapy information
  6. Individual, family and group therapy sessions
