NLCC RECEIVES BUSINESS OF THE YEAR AWARD
The first business award of the day is usually the most difficult award for the committee of the Natchitoches Area Chamber of Commerce to choose, because with so many new businesses opening each year, the competition is keen. The most important component in assuring the growth of any community is the ability of the medical community to support the current and future needs of the people they serve. This year’s winner of the Business of the Year Award, the Northwestern Louisiana Cancer Center, represents such an astounding addition to the health care industry in the parish that the committee found it impossible to overlook. Dr. Manish Dhawan, Kayla Dowden, Shay and Dr. Bill Ball, Dr. Bryan Picou and CEO of Natchitoches Regional Medical Center Mark Marley accepted the award on behalf of NLCC at the Chamber's 91st annual meeting on February 16, 2010.
