“These three graduates bring our total to 30 Radiologic Therapists,” said Christy Farmer, M.Adm., R.T.(R)(T), Director of Clinical Education for Washburn University’s Radiation Therapy Curriculum at OncoLogics. “Quite a feat for OncoLogics, the first site in Louisiana to offer a Radiation Therapy Program through Washburn University.”

OncoLogics and Washburn University, located in Topeka, Kansas, have combined to offer a radiation therapy program accredited by the AART since 2001. The curriculum, administered through Washburn’s School of Applied Studies/Department of Allied Health, consists of required on-line courses with clinical training performed at OncoLogics. It is a one-year program for certified Radiation Technologists using OncoLogics’ advanced treatment technologies, while working alongside OncoLogics’ experienced staff, in an atmosphere that provides excellent personal and professional development for students.

To date, 100% of the OncoLogics/Washburn program graduates have passed their boards and attained a license from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
