ONCOLOGICS, INC. ACCREDITED ALLIED
HEALTH PROGRAM NOW HAS 30 GRADUATES

OncoLogics, Inc., in conjunction with Washburn
University, recently announced three graduates from their American
Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) accredited radiation
therapy technology program.
The graduates are Kristina Garza of Cut Off, Tiffany White of Rayne
and Jodi Daigrepont of Baton Rouge.
“These three graduates bring our total to 30 Radiologic Therapists,” said
Christy Farmer, M.Adm., R.T.(R)(T), Director of Clinical Education
for Washburn University’s Radiation Therapy Curriculum at OncoLogics. “Quite
a feat for OncoLogics, the first site in Louisiana to offer a Radiation
Therapy Program through Washburn University.”
OncoLogics and Washburn University, located in Topeka, Kansas, have
combined to offer a radiation therapy program accredited by the AART
since 2001. The curriculum, administered through Washburn’s
School of Applied Studies/Department of Allied Health, consists of
required on-line courses with clinical training performed at OncoLogics.
It is a one-year program for certified Radiation Technologists using
OncoLogics’ advanced treatment technologies, while working
alongside OncoLogics’ experienced staff, in an atmosphere that
provides excellent personal and professional development for students.
To date, 100% of the OncoLogics/Washburn program graduates have
passed their boards and attained a license from the American Registry
of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
