Jonny Imerman (founder of Imerman Angels) and Crowley native Noelle Freeland (an Imerman volunteer) visited OncoLogics on Thursday, February 4. Imerman Angels is a unique support group that connects cancer fighters, survivors and caregivers with each other. The organization connects cancer fighters with survivors who have beaten the same cancer—their Imerman Angel. These one-to-one relationships between fighter and the Angel allow the fighter to gain insights and knowledge from someone intimately familiar with the experience. The service is absolutely free to anyone in the world and helps those touched by cancer, regardless of age or cancer stage.
Knowing the importance of personal support during treatment, we were thrilled to meet with Jonny and Noelle, so OncoLogics’ patients and caregivers can receive the valuable support and services offered by Imerman Angels.
If you are an OncoLogics patient and would like to discuss these services in more detail and/or obtain a referral to Imerman Angels, please contact Alana Hargrave at 337-237-2057 (or 800-237-2057 outside Lafayette).
